The Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association (SenTIA) is offering a free introductory Japanese language course for international residents starting this May.
The program, “SenTIA Online Japanese,” is designed for absolute beginners (aged 16+) living in Sendai. It aims to provide the foundational skills needed for daily life in the city.
Details:
- Duration: May 8 – July 10, 2026 (10 sessions).
- Schedule: Every Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Format: Hybrid (In-person for the first and last lessons; Zoom for others).
- Focus: Basic conversation, Hiragana, Katakana, and essential Kanji.
- Cost: Free.
