Welcome to Tohoku University!
The International Support Center will host a Post-Arrival Orientation for international researchers and their affiliated departments to support your smooth transition to life in Sendai and help you make the most of your academic journey.
Although this orientation is mainly geared for international researchers, international students and family members are also invited to attend. Staff members and coordinators from research labs and host departments are likewise encouraged to attend.
Speakers from SenTIA (Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association) and the Sendai City Office will provide useful information and practical advice on daily living in Sendai.
Program Highlights (session conducted in English):
- Life in Sendai as an International Resident – Essential guidance on everyday living and available support systems.
- Useful Resources – Information on administrative procedures and community services.
- Disaster Preparedness – Key safety practices and steps to take during emergencies.
- Interactive Q&A – An opportunity to ask questions and receive advice for a smooth adjustment.
