IAC Japanese Classes in KATAHIRA Campus (For International Researchers and Their Families)

AIMR・International Affairs Center (IAC) conducts free monthly Japanese classes for various proficiency levels.

Join us to learn and immerse yourself in Japanese language and culture at the Combination Room on the 5th floor of the AIMR Main Building. One-time participation is also welcomed!

The classes offered are as follows:

Cha Chat J Salon:

Discover Japanese culture hands-on as you learn the language, engaging in activities like calligraphy and New
Year’s card creation.

  • 📅 Scheduled monthly on the second Tuesday (16:00~17:00)
  • 🤝 Co-hosted by NPO ICAS

Nihongo no Hiroba:

Participate in student-led Japanese conversations at Tohoku University to enhance language skills and stay
updated on trends.

  • 📅 Scheduled monthly on the fourth Thursday (16:00~17:00)
  • 🤝 Co-hosted by The Graduate School of Applied Japanese Linguistics of Tohoku University
