There have been several scams in which Chinese nationals living in Japan have received calls on their cell phones from people claiming to be from the Chinese Embassy or the Chinese Public Security Bureau, demanding money.
To avoid becoming a victim, even if the caller claims to be from the Chinese Embassy or Public Security Bureau, hang up the phone and consult with your family, a familiar person, or the police.
